The concert

Squeeze are one of the best-loved British new wave bands. They formed in London in the mid-seventies around the songwriting partnership of Chris Difford, who writes the lyrics, and Glenn Tilbrook, who writes the music and provides the voice and guitar.

Songs such as «Cool for Cats», «Up the Junction» and «Tempted» have made them a classic of the charts and of playlists across several generations. The band reunited in 2007 and has kept touring ever since with a stable line-up.

For anyone who grew up with their sharp pop and their stories of life in the neighbourhood, this date at La Riviera is a rare chance to see them in a venue of this size.
